If I were to release any tracks I probably wouldn't trust the response of my room anyway, and would go to a professional mixing/mastering facility. These do the job for a home studio scenario. On the other hand, I suspect you get diminishing returns on greater investment - and you can pay extreme amounts. I know there are much cheaper products, and some of those might comfort hi-fi listeners, who probably weren't having much of an issue anyway, but I wouldn't recommend going any lower for studio use. These are really entry point isolation for studio audio. I'm sure I can still find some specific frequencies that will cause sympathetic resonance around the room, but direct transference, and the wide-spread response to all bass, has been cut drastically. ![]() So I put three of the standard size pucks under each speaker, and the buzzing has stopped. And yet, when I played anything bass heavy the stands would vibrate a little, and, with enough volume, everything in the room would begin to buzz due to transference through the floor boards. The stands themselves stand on spikes, so that there should be minimal transference to the room. I had my studio monitors on some cheaper isolation pads, on professional stands filled with sand, which are supposed to have almost no resonance points. Clearly someone who has little to do with audio.
